Sonata Script Issue #23 – Holiday Check-in

Giving you a peek into the past week for me and Sonata Home Design. The week in review, my favorite finds on the web, and just a little “this and that.” I always want to give you great ideas, inspiration, creative motivation, light bulb moments, and a hearty “You can do it!”

I know I am not alone in my passion for home decorating, crafting, and nesting. So, please join me each week for this creative Saturday jolt!

“How are you? I am fine.”

As a young child, this is how I used to start every letter that I wrote to my grandmother.

Simple and to the point but perhaps lacking a little creativity.

But in this crazy time of year, it is actually a pretty on-point opening!

How ARE you?

Feeling joyous? Tired? Inspired? Overwhelmed?

This time of year can include all of the above!

I am fine. I really am!

We’ve had a few health issues in our family but nothing that we can’t handle.

The to-do is long, and a little overwhelming and, let’s face it…it’s not all going to get done.

Current events seem to send punches that test my holiday spirit.

But I am reminded daily of the joy of the season through my favorite Christmas moments…

Twinkling Christmas tree lights…

Eating a hot Runza on a cold day with my mother…

Getting my nails done with my Lincoln daughter and choosing a beautiful shade of Christmas red…

Planning an upcoming trip to visit my NYC daughter…

Watching “Funny Farm” with my husband (a silly movie but one of my favorites!)…

The first fireplace fire of the season…

What is giving you joy this holiday season?

This Week’s Hustle and Bustle

Guess who had a birthday this week?

As much as he would love a birthday dog biscuit, it was not Bentley’s birthday…it was my husband’s!

He got to pick how we celebrated.

His choice? Bowling!

I haven’t gone bowling in years. Correction…decades!

In the first game, I bowled a whopping score of 17. (I am the gutter ball queen!)

By the time I finished the second game, I had 4 strikes!

My husband, was the clear winner. Both as the high-score bowler and as the birthday boy!

Happy Birthday, Darling!

So I thought I would gather some of my latest posts so you can check out anything you might have missed this month.

I was honored to be part of two different blogger home tours this year. So I divided my house in half so I could share different rooms for each post.
