Sonata Script – Issue #22

Giving you a peek into the past week for me and Sonata Home Design. The week in review, my favorite finds on the web, and just a little “this and that.” I always want to give you great ideas, inspiration, creative motivation, light bulb moments, and a hearty “You can do it!”

I know I am not alone in my passion for home decorating, crafting, and nesting. So, please join me each week for this creative Saturday jolt!

Welcome November!

Do you ever have a super busy week…

…and then you can’t remember what you did?

That is this week for me!

We took an afternoon and went to Nebraska City to visit the Arbor Day Farm. It has been an annual day trip for us for about 10 years now.

We love to walk around, visit Arbor Lodge, eat apple pie (with caramel and ice cream!), and drink hot apple cider.

Bentley loves it too!

Do you have an annual day trip that you take each year?

This Week’s Hustle and Bustle

The bustle this week has mainly been organizing and creating content to share with you in the next few weeks. Here are just a few projects I’m working on and what you can see soon!

  • Believe it or not, I have been putting up Christmas trees. Too soon, I know, but the blogger calendar can’t wait!
  • I’m making progress on the One Room Challenge room and will have a reveal to share with you soon!
  • An upstairs bedroom is getting lots of cozy Christmas touches.
  • I hate to keep stringing you along…but I have a MAJOR project to be revealed soon!

In Case You Missed It

Here are some of the posts that I sent out this week. I know some of you like a little refresh in case you missed something.

My Credenza Makeover: This is the BEFORE photo. I got some feedback from a couple of readers that, while they wouldn’t have painted it, they liked the AFTER look as well.

Believe me, I fretted and stewed about painting it. Then, I realized that if I am thinking about it this much, I should go ahead and paint it. We love the result! Click HERE to see what it looks like now!

Look What I Found On the Web

I always love sharing what I find. And I found greatness this week!

Diane from South House Designs has released her 2024 Christmas stocking collection. These stockings are GORGEOUS! These handcrafted stockings come in stunning not-your-run-of-the-mill fabrics in both traditional and non-traditional color palettes. And there are adorable themed tags available as well. You can’t just buy one…you’ll want a coordinated stocking collection!

My friend, Jen, from Midwest Life and Style is getting us ready for the holidays with her Stress-free Holiday Hosting tips.

Cecilia from My Thrift Store Addiction share her delicious recipe for Baked Pears with Feta and Walnuts.

Wishing you a great week!

Cheers!

hi! I’m missy. So happy to meet you!

“Decorate with Joy!”

I truly believe that your home should be a reflection of your personality, a space where you feel free to express yourself and create a sanctuary that feels uniquely yours.

I love creating mood boards, hunting down unique home décor treasures, tackling easy DIY projects, and gathering with family and friends. Homes are meant to be enjoyed, filled with laughter, and shared with the people you love!

– cheers! –
