10 Products I Wish I Bought Sooner
My New Favorite Sheets
My sister kept telling me about these sheets.
But aren’t a lot of the sheets the same?
Ahem…NO!
I spent the night in her guest room and ordered these AMAZING sheets the next day!
I always love white sheets. But they come in all sorts of colors.
Over 340,000 five-star reviews! And VERY reasonably priced!
Now I have these on every bed in the house!
2. Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven
This heavy duty cast iron dutch oven will outlive me…and still look beautiful!
While I use this mainly for soups, it is also perfect for braising, browning, or cooking pasta.
It is safe to use in the oven up to 500 degrees and retains its heat really well. (I haven’t tried to bake bread in it yet but I am going to try!)
This is available in so many beautiful colors but, of course, I went with my favorite blue!
I wish I had this when my children were little. But I’m making up for it with us grown-ups!
Tip: Hand wash only with this gem! In face, a little BarKeeper’s Friend is all you need to keep this looking fabulous!
3. Chom Chom Roller Pet Hair Remover
I was looking good sitting in a comfy upholstered chair.
…new sweater, stylish scarf, black straight-leg pants.
and when I stood up…
an unexpected layer of cat hair “shining” from my backside!
No more sticky lint rollers…
No more packing tape wrapped around my fingers…
Chom Chom Pet Hair Remover to the rescue!
Whether you need to remove pet hair from your sofa or chair, this amazing pet hair remover works on your clothes too.
Game changer!
4. Extra Large Silicone Baking Mat
This is the perfect silicone prep mat for your baking!
It’s fantastic for rolling out dough for cut-out cookies.
And it helps me transform a store-bought pie crust into one resembling my mother’s homemade pie crusts. (I said “resembling”. Nothing can match her homemade pie crusts!)
I particularly love the raised lip on the perimeter of the mat. It really helps to keep excess flour from leaping to the counter.
Large in size, clear size guides, and easy to clean…I wish I had bought this years ago!
5. Colgate Teeth Whitening Pen
I’ve had my fill of teeth whiteners over the years.
So many of them are cumbersome, messy, and just a pain to deal with.
This teeth whitening pen from Colgate is a game changer I wish I had bought much sooner!
With the precise applicator, I can “brush” my teeth with the pen, fall asleep, and wake up to whiter teeth!
6. Glass Canisters with Lids
I remember registering for a set of blue ceramic jars before we got married 35 years ago.
They were big and clunky but did serve their purpose…storing flour, sugar, and whatever needed a stash spot.
These original canisters bit the dust a long time ago and was not replaced for years. Until…
I realized how beautiful and versatile these classic glass jar canisters with lids would be!
They still hold my flour, sugar, and other baking supplies in the kitchen.
But they can be used in just about any room in the house. Here are a few ideas:
- Storing coffee pods and tea bags
- Dog treats
- Cookies
- Candy
- Rice, Lentils, and other grains and beans
- Pasta
- Cereal
- Dishwasher pods
- Laundry detergent or laundry pods
- Wool dryer balls or dryer sheets
- Bath salts or bath bombs
- Small guest towels or washcloths
The list could go on and on!
7. Bissell Little Green Monster
This Little Green Monster is now my Big Green Workhorse in my home!
And the joy is in the size and portable use. I’ve carried tote bags heavier than this!
I’ve used this on the stairs when I spilled my coffee on the carpet. (I shouldn’t carry piles of stuff and a full cup of coffee!)
This machine magically gave an old sofa new life with easily cleaned cushions.
And this saved a favorite rug when our dog, Bentley got sick in the middle of the night. (You know that sound that makes you LEAP out of bed? Yeah. That sound!)
#8 Migraine Relief Cap
I get headaches.
Tension headaches and migraines.
Usually, I am able to function through them. But sometimes they really knock me out and I spend a day dealing with pain, light sensitivity, and a general “I need to curl up in darkness till this thing blows over” position.
This Migraine Relief Cap really helps me to deal with those bad headache days.
I’m not a medical professional and would not assume to make medical claims. But this cap helps to relieve the tension and gives cool relief to my eyes and temples from headaches.
It still takes some time for the headache to go away completely, but this cap makes the process much easier to handle.
Yes, I look a little goofy wearing it. But with the relief it provides, I don’t care!
#9 – Beach Waves Curling Iron
Fine, straight hair.
This is my lot in life.
From my childhood home perms (Thanks, Mother?) to hot rollers and endless barrel irons…
FINALLY, a waver curling iron that gives me some wave without frying my hair!
My wise hairdresser gave me great advice on the temperature to use for my fine hair…
“If you can burn the cookies, it’s too hot!”
So, I never go above 375 degrees. (She is one smart cookie!)
If you have coarser hair (lucky you!), you can adjust accordingly.
10. Philosophy When Hope is Not Enough
There are things that are worth the price.
I started using Philosophy’s “When Hope is Not Enough” serum sometime in my 40s.
The cost was more than I usually spend on skincare…by quite a bit.
But my skin said “Keep it coming!” every time I put it on!
Now I am never without it and I honestly wish I had started using it in my 30’s.
The cost doesn’t bother me because one bottle lasts about 8-9 months.
And now my late 50’s skin is saying “Thank you!”
I love it so much that I went LIVE on QVC to share my story.
I hope you enjoyed hearing about my favorite “wish I bought them sooner” products!
If you’ve got any game-changers of your own, I’d love to hear about them—I’m always on the lookout for great finds. Until next time, happy shopping and here’s to discovering more must-haves!
Cheers!
Fab products that make life that little bit easier! I second anything that helps relieve migraines, they are just awful.
I love nice sheets on the bed too!
Have a lovely week Missy. 🙂 #MMBC
Thank you, Jayne! You as well!
The pet hair remover looks great, and our dog (border collie) sheds so much so this would be perfect for our cushions and clothing. I’ve heard good things about the little green machine too. #MMBC
Hi Angela, Both have been game changers for me. I think they are worth giving a try! Have an amazing week!
Came over from another blogger. I always enjoy posts like this. A couple things I wish I bought sooner are: olive oil spray for spraying on broccoli before I roast in the oven or French bread slices before I broil them & color wow money mist- game changer for how shiny my hair looks. I’m so glad my new hair magician introduced it to me.
What a great idea! I need to get some of this!
I love a great new set of sheets!
New sheets are amazing! And these are really awesome!
The blue cast iron pot looks great. I’ve been tempted to get one myself cause they are so pretty but I already own the black cast iron ones so I’d only be buying it for “pretty” reasons which doesn’t make a practical purpose. I did put the pet hair in my shopping list, and the silicone mat looks like the perfect thing to buy before the holidays. Visiting from Thinking Out Loud Thusdays
I’m so glad you found some things you like. I also initially thought the blue pot would be just a “pretty” pot. But when I discovered how well it works, I find that I am often using both of my dutch over pots. We are big soup lovers and its is great for when I have multiple soups on the stovetop! Thanks for checking out my list!
REALLY enjoyed this post, Missy. I’ve got the sheets on my wishlist for my birthday and Christmas next month!
I’m so glad you liked, Julie! Yay for birthday lists!
