Creating a beautiful brunch table for Mother’s Day is a great way to show Mom just how much she means to you.
A thoughtfully designed table sets the stage for a special occasion, making the morning feel extra festive and meaningful.
Whether you’re hosting an intimate gathering or a larger celebration, the best ideas come from Mom herself!

A Beautiful Color Palette with Sentimental Touches
For this Mother’s Day brunch idea, I chose a soft pink color palette that feels fresh and feminine, while also incorporating my mother’s favorite color—Blue!
Using my mother’s stunning white wedding china in a layered table setting adds elegance and sentimentality to the table. This is a great idea for anyone who wants to honor their own mom by using pieces that have personal significance.
To enhance the beautiful table setting, I created a layered look using woven charger plates for texture and added an extra blue and white check charger plate to bring in color and depth. This combination adds visual interest while keeping the table feeling fresh and inviting.
If you love a vintage touch, lace tablecloths are a great idea for a timeless look, while a table runner in a complementary shade can be an easy way to add softness and dimension.
Sweet Flowers with a Personal Twist
No Mother’s Day table is complete without flowers!
For the centerpiece, I started with a vase filled with double peony tulips, one of my favorite flowers.
But later, I changed this in favor of a lush green fern plant. Don’t worry…the tulips are used in a different way!
For a sweet addition to each place setting, I created individual floral vases using upcycled diffuser reed bottles.
Each bottle is wrapped with green leaf ribbon, filled with fresh blooms, and adorned with a small Mother’s Day tag.
These Mother’s Day decorations could serve as place cards, making each guest feel special while also doubling as a sweet take-home gift. Such a fun way to add a personal touch to your beautiful brunch setup!
Thoughtful Place Settings & Elegant Details
Creating the place settings is one of the best parts of designing a gorgeous tablescape!
To complement the white china, I layered each plate with a different salad plate that ties into the overall color scheme. Atop each setting, the floral vase bottles serve as a fresh punch of color and part of the pizazz of the table décor.
Gold flatware adds warmth and elegance, bringing out the soft tones of the spring theme.
For linens, I opted for cloth napkins in a soft pink and blush plaid, secured with gold honeybee napkin rings.
These little touches elevate the setting and add a polished look. Using real cloth napkins rather than paper is an easy way to make the meal feel more like a special occasion.
Any time I finish setting a table, I like to leave the room and walk back in as if I am seeing the tablescape for the first time. It’s amazing how often I see something I want to tweak.
Once I finished this table, I left….walked back in…and declared “C’est fini!”

- Fresh fruit: Adding fresh fruit like strawberries, lemons, and oranges is a great idea to bring in pops of bright colors while also serving as an edible decoration.
